Waxing Treatments

Waxing at Esqué is an experience. We’re quick, professional, friendly and we believe that waxing is an art. Hygiene, technique and attention to detail are paramount in providing the best service and results. Our treatment rooms are impeccable, our wax equipment squeaky clean and our therapists are all trained the ‘Esqué way’ so standards are higher than high. We even offer two types of wax for certain areas as we strive to reduce the ‘minor discomfort’ that we all put ourselves through to achieve and maintain fashionable hairlessness! Once you’ve tried waxing at Esqué, you won’t want to go anywhere else!

House Wax
Our normal ‘house wax’ uses an ultra-hygienic, disposable applicator system. There is no risk that wax can be contaminated with dead skin cells and we pride ourselves on being ahead of forthcoming legislation in this important hygiene area.

Advanced Comfort Wax
We have researched and specially formulated our ‘advanced comfort wax’ to reduce discomfort for those who find waxing a particularly sensitive subject! You need to try it to believe the difference…particularly for bikini waxing and although it is more expensive, it’s worth the extra pennies to reduce the ‘ouch’ factor! Our Advanced Comfort Wax also gets shorter hairs that otherwise would be missed by regular wax. It does take a little longer and requires a therapist with extra special training, so please be sure to specify when booking your appointment.

Top tip: exfoliating the night or morning before your appointment will give better results! Hairs must be at least 5mm long for successful waxing.

 

Bikini Waxing

Bikini Tidy - only the sides outside your underwear are waxed
Bikini High Leg - provides waxing for a higher cut bikini and a tidy up underneath
Brazilian - leaves a broad central strip but all else is removed except the very intimate areas
Hollywood - everything is removed 

 

About Our Bikini Waxing
Unlike many salons, we offer four different types of bikini wax to cater for all client requests. You will see the descriptions above, but if you are in any doubt, check the diagrams on our website so you can see the difference. Advanced waxing, like the Brazilian and Hollywood, are only carried out by our specially trained therapists. If you are trying this waxing for the first time, it is essential that you have an experienced and well trained therapist for such sensitive areas.

Top tip: for bikini areas, it will be much more comfortable if the hair is between 5-10mm so we recommend trimming before
your appointment if they are too long.

LHE Permanent Hair Reduction

LHE is state-of-the-art technology similar to laser or IPL, to give you the convenience and confidence of permanently hair-free skin. It is best suited to specific treatment areas and hair types. No obligation consultations and patch tests are available with our friendly and knowledgeable specialists for advice and more information. *Although we charge for this in depth consultation, the fee is redeemable against any treatments or products purchased at Esqué.

LHE should be considered as a hair management programme and works out as a similar price to regular waxing. The benefit of LHE over waxing, is that each treatment helps to permanently reduce the amount of hair in the area and make it finer. Although we cannot guarantee complete clearance, results by the end of a full course are significant.

Treatments are available singly or more cost effectively in a course of 10. A full course is essential for best results. The pricing table below details our standard treatment areas, though other areas may be suitable for treatment and are subject to individual quotation after a consultation.

As well as being an award winning salon, we are also registered, approved and regularly audited by the Healthcare Commission, so you can rest assured that you will receive the safest and most hygienic treatment.

For best results, we only recommend LHE if you have fair skin and dark hair. Although other skin and hair types can be treated, we find results are considerably reduced.
