Looking back on 2016 at Esqué...
Another year has flown past and it’s been an exciting year for the salon as we celebrated our 18th birthday!
2016 has seen our lovely Senior Therapist, Libby, return from maternity leave and she has been astounding us with her multitasking skills of nearly full time hours and being a fabulous Mummy to Lincoln. A new Esqué baby was born when Claire, our expert therapist, became a mum to little Aubrey - much earlier than expected! Julie stepped into the shoes of Expert Therapist continuing to provide exceptional treatments with the utmost knowledge, care and expertise and Emily became promoted to an Esqué Senior Therapist, constantly delivering exceptional customer service.
The beautiful new AGEid make up from Babor arrived into the salon and impressed us all with its fabulous foundation range and beautiful colours for eyes and lips. It’s skincare as well as make up so if you’ve not tried it yet, pop in and have a play with the tester bar or ask one of the team for a foundation fitting.
Murad released the Hydra Dynamic Quenching Essence (£59.50), a silky, weightless, moisture-enhancing treatment product that optimises skin’s capacity to attract and retain moisture, leaving it soft, plump and youthful looking (perfect for that pesky dehydrated skin that most of us suffer with). They then wowed us with the launch of their Eye Lift Firming Treatment (£45 for 20 treatments) which instantly sold out! If you’ve not used it yet, it is a professional strength, homecare treatment which infuses the delicate eye area with exclusive, surface-filling and firming technologies that instantly lift, firm and visibly reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles … who wouldn’t want that (and it’s back in stock … phew!)
Towards the end of school term we visited the sixth form students at Kingsley school to educate them on the importance of good skincare and we had a great interactive session with lots being learned! Remember, no matter what your age, it’s never too late to get skincare help and advice so if you tend to only have hair removal or nail treatments, don’t hesitate to ask your therapist about coming in for a digital skin scan where you can learn more about your skin and how to care for it simply and easily.
El Truchan joined the team at Esqué as our Semi Permanent make up specialist (all the way from London!) and she now holds a monthly clinic offering Brow, Eyeliner and Lip treatments as well as reconstructive work post breast cancer. She is a highly regarded and extremely highly qualified specialist who takes the utmost pride and care in her work so if you want effortless natural make up that you don’t have to remove, book in with El. Amy had her eyebrows ‘done’ in September and is totally thrilled with them so if you want a peek – you can go to our Facebook page and watch the video or ask next time you’re in and you can have a look!
In the Autumn, Image launched the brand-new MAX Stem Cell Neck Lift (£102), a super advanced, ultra-firming neck & décolletage lifting cream that targets sagging and lax skin, deep creases, wrinkles and fine lines. Clinical trials have been excellent and clients report seeing and feeling a difference within the first week so if you’re not happy with your neck and décolleté area – then this is the product for you. It’s a lot cheaper than surgery!
Our birthday celebrations event in October was a great evening which saw the launch of our very own Esqué Ultimate CACI treatment which takes CACI to the next level. Combining an ultimate blend of high performance, anti-ageing skincare with the firming toning and lifting properties of the CACI, this is a true wrinkle buster! (Currently only offered by the senior team. If you’re a CACI fan already, you must try this as the next step up … you will love it!)
…So, what will 2017 see? Well we’re never ones to sit still and we have a fair few tricks up our sleeve! The biggest one being that we will be re-modelling most of the first floor of the salon to enable a more inclusive customer experience. The lease is up on our retail shop area and we have decided not to renew it, not because we can’t but because we’ve never fully managed to incorporate the salon ‘feel’ into the ground floor area, and as beauty and relaxation are what we do best, that’s what we want our focus to be. So, come Springtime, the only change that you will experience is coming into the salon through a different door (the one to the left of the shop). For our wonderful long standing clients, this will be no surprise as you’ll remember it as our original salon entrance before we had the shop! We’ve got quite a facelift to make in that time and rest assured – there will be minimal disruption to your treatments. We will be very busy bees behind the scenes to transform your Esqué sanctuary into an even more wonderful space. If you want to keep abreast of the progress, make sure that you follow our Facebook and Instagram pages for up to date news. Or if you’re not a fan of social media, keep your eyes open for our e-newsletter updates.
We will also be working on our new website to give you a fresh, user friendly, responsive platform where you can access all the information you are after – Don’t worry, you will still be able to book your appointments online, should you wish, as we know that’s what a lot of you like to do best …but we’ll always be at the end of the phone too so don’t panic!
There’s more to come too but we can’t give everything away! Just know that we are always working hard to ensure that we offer you the best treatments with the best results in lovely surroundings from a super team.
Wishing you a wonderful 2017 and a big THANKYOU for all your support throughout 2016 – we couldn’t do what we do without you!
Warm New Year Wishes
From Amy & Gurdip xx
