In line with Government and industry guidelines and for your utmost safety we have made some changes at Esqué. We ask for your full support and understanding of these changes to ensure that we can continue to provide a professional and safe experience for you and for our team.
EMBRACING THE NEW NORMAL
We can’t stay 1-2 metres from you by the very nature of what we do so we have adopted new ways of working to reduce any possible risk.
We have separated our team into two groups and they are on a split rota where each team works alternative days to reduces the amount of staff and clients in our salons at any one time. Additionally, wherever possible, team members will have staggered start times. As this will reduce staff availability our opening hours are changing to offer more hours:

To manage the amount of guests in the salon at any one time we are only able to allow you in with a pre booked appointment and ask you to arrive to your appointment on time, not early and not late. Please do not bring friends or family members with you (unless they have an appointment too!) as they will not be allowed to wait in the salon. Please also avoid bringing surplus bags and belongings in with you.
You will receive a pre visit form by email a day or 2 before your appointment. Please ensure this is completed and returned before your visit. This allows us to reduce waiting time and to identify any needs or requirements before you come into the salon. It also has an essential Covid-19 disclaimer form in it which we must have.
We have a buzzer entry system in place to ensure that you can come up the stairwell without crossing another guest on the stairs. A team member will buzz you in as soon as it is possible. Do be patient if you have to wait a few minutes for another guest to leave before you are allowed in.
On arrival you will be asked to check your temperature at the temperature testing station and then wash your hands. There will be hand sanitiser available as you enter the salon or your therapist will take you straight through to your treatment room to wash your hands as we now have hand basins fitted into all treatment rooms. Your therapist will also thoroughly wash their hands in front of you in the treatment room and will temperature check at the start of each shift.
The reception team & therapists will be wearing protective visors at all time and will also wear a mask for close contact work. We would ask you to wear your own mask into the salon and keep it on where possible if your treatment allows, eg pedicure, leg wax, manicure. If you arrive without a mask, you will be able to purchase a disposable one from reception for £1.
Obviously when you are able to have a facial treatment it will not be possible to wear your mask for your treatment so your therapist will take additional precautions by wearing a mask in addition to their visor.
Gloves will continue to be worn for hygiene purposes only during required treatments. Your therapist will ensure that their hands are thoroughly washed before commencing any treatment(s).
We have marked 2 metre spacing in the lounge and reception areas. Please do be considerate of these for yourself and for other guests.
We know that many guests are used to a lovely chat on reception at the end of your treatment but to ensure smooth running and reduced contact time, we ask you to pay with contactless payment method where at all possible and to pre book your next appointment(s) online or through our app to keep the reception area as clear as possible. If you prefer not to visit the reception desk, you can prepay over the phone anytime before your visit.
Every appointment now requires additional ‘turn around’ time afterwards to ensure that every contact surface point is cleaned after each client. This time, combined with reduced therapist availability, means that we cannot take as many bookings as we are used to. With this in mind we would greatly appreciate you booking smaller appointments together, where possible, to reduce the amount of turnaround time in each day.
We understand that unforeseen circumstances arise that cannot be helped, however we have to operate a 24 hour cancellation policy for our business to function. Any appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours will result in a 50% charge. We offer appointment reminders to help you and you can also manage your appointments online up to 24 hours before your booking.
Wherever possible we try to avoid raising treatment prices by absorbing the ever increasing costs. Due to elevated running costs, staff costs and consumable costs, as well as the introduction of added PPE, salon safety spend and reduced business capacity we have had to look carefully at our service prices and increase them by £1-£4 per service. If you visit regularly and want to save, our annual Elect Membership programme still offers you 10% off treatments, products & courses.
Refreshments: are currently limited to water dispensed in a paper cup or we will be happy to refill your own drinks container.
If service suitable please bring your own book/ magazine/ iPad as all literature has been temporarily removed.
Please find suitable parking for the duration of your visit as we cannot add a ticket to your car or allow you to exit and re enter in your appointment time. Many of the larger car parks in town will be providing complimentary parking for a period of time. Please check the details carefully to ensure that you are aware of any time limitations.
Please only use our client toilet facilities if necessary and wipe down any handles / flush point / taps after use so the space is safe & ready for the next guest. Facilities will be checked and cleaned regularly throughout the day by a salon angel.
All our towels & laundry are washed on a high temperature after every use. We may choose to use natural fibre, biodegradable, disposable towels if necessary.
Our cleaning routine has always been of the highest standard, however this will now be increased to ensure regular cleaning of all high touch point surfaces.
Cold, high temperature, cough, loss or change in your sense of smell or taste? Please do not visit us if you have any of these signs, contact your doctor for a Covid-19 test & let us know so that we can reschedule your appointment.
We know that all of this seems like a lot to digest but together we will adjust to our new ways of working. We cannot wait to see you again and we promise that we will be doing everything we can to ensure that your visit is as safe and enjoyable as possible (even your bikini waxing!).
